From the Principal

Dear Parents,

We are now at the start of our last quarter of an incredible school year here at Messmore and what a great year it has been! I am so proud to be able to serve our wonderful students and the entire Messmore community. I have the best job in the world and on a daily basis this is reinforced to me as I see students beam with pride as they show growth in their learning.

Parent Survey –We would like to share the results of the parent survey that we sent out earlier in the year. Your support has been heart-warming, but we believe we can do better. Areas that had shown most positive on the survey included a welcoming environment, having a positive public image, academic performance, and parents providing support at home. Areas that indicated we could do better included providing better communication, providing additional supervision before and after school, and fostering the respect that students show for one an-other with additional bullying programs. We are never complacent, and every child deserves the best that we can possibly give. We will not rest until we believe that this is consistently the case, and we know that there are still areas we need to improve, such as meeting more of the social needs of our students as well as increasing our efforts to meet their academic needs. We also know that the strengths we have such as expecting quality work of our students, creating an excellent learning environment, and showing respect for our students are areas that we will continue to fine-tune.
